The Tour Itinerary

 
1st Day. Arrival Day.
Early arrival. (Normally most of the airplanes arrive in Tbilisi between 0.30 - 5.30 AM)
Meeting at the airport with your tour guide.
Transfer to the hotel "VIP" (or similar class, like "Astoria" or "Nata" or "Levili")
Accommodation in DBL room with BB basis.
In the morning the representative of our company will meet the guests in the lobby of the hotel and provides them with all the necessary information and maps and later the guests can explore the city.
Free day in Tbilisi.
Overnight in Tbilisi.
 
2nd Day. Guided tour to Old Tbilisi and Mtskheta. Driving distance 100 km.
After breakfast, we start for a full day guided excursion of Old Tbilisi and Mtskheta, the ancient capital of Georgia (the monuments there belong to the UNESCO world heritage). During the tour, the guests will visit the highlights of Old Tbilisi and Mtskheta.
Old Tbilisi: Trinity Cathedral - Narikala Fortress - Bath Quarter Abanotubani - Sioni Cathedral - Peace Bridge - Anchiskhati Basilica - Marionette Theatre.
Mtskheta (UNESCO): - Jvari Monastery above Mtskheta (VI. Century) - Svetitskhoveli Cathedral – Return to Tbilisi.
Overnight in Tbilisi.
 
3rd Day. Free day in Tbilisi or Day for Optional Tours.
On this day the guests either can walk around the city or choose one of our individual tours:
- East Georgia, David Gareji Monastery and Sighnaghi tour;
- Wine Tour to East Georgia, Kakheti region;
- Gori and Uplistsikhe tour, Central Georgia (Uplistsikhe cave city (II. C. BC) and Stalin-Museum).
Overnight in Tbilisi.
 
4th Day. Guided tour to Mount Kazbegi. (360 km)

Tbilisi – Travelling on the Georgian Military Road to Ananuri Fortress – Jinvali Lake - Gudauri Ski Resort - Cross Pass - Village Stepantsminda - Gergeti Trinity Church and Monastery – Return to Tbilisi
After breakfast, our driver and guide will take the guests to the north of Georgia to the mountains of Great Caucasus. We are travelling on the famous Georgian Military Road towards the high mountains.
During the tour the guests will visit all most important destinations on the way, like Ananuri fortress and Jinvali Lake, Gudauri winter ski resort, Cross pass (2.300 m) and panoramic view on river Aragvi Gorge, salted rock (travertines) and we will arrive at the village Stepantsminda, at the foot of Mount Kazbegi. Here the guests can either go for a walk (about 1 ½ hrs.) up to the amazing Gergeti Trinity Church (2.167 m) or we can hire a 4WD car for them and they drive up to the church (extra costs for the 4WD car).
 
5th Day. Train to Batumi. (440 km)

Early in the morning our driver will pick up the guests from the hotel and transfer them to the Central Railway Station in Tbilisi.
The train from Tbilisi takes about 5 1/2 hours to reach Batumi. At the Batumi Central Station, our car will wait for the guests and transfer them to the hotel "Ritsa" or similar class.
The rest of the day is free for own explorations in Batumi.
Overnight in Batumi.
 
6th Day. Free Day in Batumi.
On this day the guests can either walk around the city or stay at the beach or can book one of our individual day tours:
- Old Batumi city and Botanical Garden (more than 100 years old),
- Beautiful waterfalls of Minor Caucasus, Roman Fortress in Gonio and Botanical garden.
Overnight in Batumi.
 
7th Day. Back to Tbilisi by train. (440 km)

After breakfast, our driver will pick up the guests and transfer them to Batumi Central Railway Station.
The Morning train to Tbilisi takes again 5 1/2 hours.
In Tbilisi, our driver will wait at the station for transfer to the hotel in Tbilisi.
Free afternoon and evening in Tbilisi.
Overnight in Tbilisi.
 
8th Day. Back to your home country.
Early in the morning, our driver will transfer the guests to Tbilisi International Airport.
The flight back to home country.
End of the tour.
