1st Day
Meeting at the airport, transfer to the hotel, meet your guide.
Overnight in Tbilisi.
 
2nd Day. 30 Km.
On this day get to know the capital of Georgia - Tbilisi. In the morning a guided tour in the old part of the town, which do not leave without emotion any tourists. City tour of Tbilisi. Visit the Metekhi Church (XII century), sulfur baths Abanotubani, Narikala fortress (IV century), Sioni Cathedral (V-VII centuries), Antschischati basilica (VI century). Visit Georgian historical museum, one of the main history museums, which displays the country’s principal archaeological findings. The Museum houses hundreds of thousands of artefacts of Georgia’s and the Caucasus’ archaeology and ethnography. A permanent exposition chronologically follows the development of Georgia’s material culture from the Bronze Age to the 20th century. Visit the Holy mountain – Mount Mtatsminda or David Mountain named in the honour of St. David Gareji who lived as a recluse in a cave on one of its slopes. From the mountain, you will see the panorama of entire Tbilisi. The wide mountain plateau is occupied by the television tower (276m), St. David Church (the 19th century) and the Pantheon of famous Georgians where A.Griboedov, the Russian poet, his wife Nina Chavchavadze, Ilia Chavchavadze, Nikoloz Baratashvili, Akaki Tsereteli, Sergo Zakariadze and others are buried.

3rd Day. 180 Km.
In the morning travel north across the Georgian Military Highway. Along the way you stop at the fortress Ananuri (14th—18th cent), The characteristic architectural design of the late medieval period includes a fortress, two churches, an old watchtower, prison and civic buildings. Visit charming resort Gudauri. The landscape of this place even in summer leaves a deep impression. Drive in the direction of Stepantsminda. This small town is situated at the foot of Mount Kazbegi (5047 m). Here one will climb up the Holy Trinity Church(XIV C), at an altitude of 2170 meters above the sea level.

4th Day. 340 km.
Drive from Kazbegi to the direction of Gori, the birthplace of Soviet dictator Stalin. Lunch in the nice restaurant in Gori. Continue to Borjomi, a resort town in south-central Georgia. The town is famous for its mineral water industry (which is presently the number one export of Georgia), the Romanov summer palace in Likani, the Borjomi-Kharagauli National Park. The park is one of the largest in Europe - it covers more than 85,000 hectares of native forest and sub-alpine and alpine meadows, home to rare species of flora and fauna. Visit Akhaltsikhe, a small city in Georgia's southwestern region of Samtskhe-Javakheti. It is situated on both banks of a small river Potskhovi, which separates the city to the old city in the north and new in the south. The name of the city translates from Georgian as "new fortress".

5th Day. 290 km
Visit just renovated Rabat Fortress in Akhaltsikhe, reconstructed by the restorers from ruins. The rehabilitated fortress attracts many tourists from all over the world. Visit Vardzia, a cave monastery dug into the side of the Erusheli mountain in southern Georgia near Aspindza, founded by Queen Tamar in 1185. The monastery was constructed as protection from the Mongols and consisted of over six thousand apartments in a thirteen story complex. The city included a church, a throne room, and a complex irrigation system watering terraced farmlands. The unique monument to old Georgian culture, the Vardzia complex of cave architecture was declared a museum - preserve in 1938.

Drive the East of Georgia, Kakheti.
From the beginning visit of the David Gareja Monastery (VIc), 100 km South East from Tbilisi in Gareja desert. The complex of David Gareja was one of the main educational and scientific center of Georgia in XII-XIV cc. From there drive to Sighnaghi - a small city in the middle of Kakheti. The town is built on the top of the hill surrounded with XVIIIc wall (4 km). From there you can find the wonderful view on Great Caucasus and river Alazani Valley.

7th Day. 100 km
On this day visit the ancient capital of Georgia - Mtskheta. Monuments of Mtskheta were included in the UNESCO World Heritage Site. Visit Svetitskhoveli Cathedral, one of the most important monuments of the 11th Century. For centuries it was and is until nowadays the religious center of Christian Georgia. Visit Jvari Monastery (VI-VII century), built on the top of the hill above Mtskheta. The monument is included into the UNESCO world heritage site list.
The tour ends with a return to Tbilisi
